Our Weekly Meetings
We meet at 9:15 am on Wednesday mornings at the Annville Church of the Brethren in the church basement. On your way to our meeting space you will drop off your children (ages 0-6) in their assigned classrooms. You may prefer to keep your handheld infant with you through the meeting. Our announcements and meeting begin at 9:30 that always includes a small snack and speaker, craft or social activity until 10:45.
Our Classrooms
We are blessed to have a group of caring women staff our classrooms. Our teachers are a combination of mothers, grandmothers and college students. All staff have undergone background checks and have proven to be caring, nurturing and loving individuals. For children ages 2-6, a creative learning environment has been created. Ages 0-1 are cared for with lots of hugs and toys.
We have three classrooms this year. Ages 0-24 months, 2, 3, and 4-6.
We do ask that all personal belongs be labeled with the child's name, especially if your child is in the nursery. Each classroom has a sign in sheet for the parent to use when they drop off their child(ren) each Wednesday morning.
Participation Guidelines
We are financially supported by individual donations, fundraisers and a stipend from the Annville CoB. We have dues of $10 per semester, due at the beginning of each semester and also each participant with one child is asked to give a weekly donation of $3 to help cover the cost of our teachers, snacks for the children and classroom supplies. Or you can choose to pay the $40 all at once for each semester. Moms with two or more children are asked to pay $5 per week or $60 for the semester. Cash and checks are both accepted with checks being made out to Annville Moms and Tots.
We are a self-run group. We elect officers each year to fill the roles of chair, co-chair, treasurer and secretary. All committee members are volunteers. Attendees are asked to sign up to bring in a refreshment once each semester or sign up for greeter, devotions or clean up crew, a sign up sheet for this is on our head table and will also be distributed during the meeting. We also occasionally ask for classroom volunteers to help when a teacher is absent or a class size has grown if necessary.
We do ask that you help us maintain a mom-focused environment during our meeting time, please only bring hand-held infants to the meeting time. If your child is having trouble adjusting to a classroom setting, please feel free to stay with them in their classroom until you feel they are ready for you to leave.
If you have items that you would like to share with others (parenting books, special clothing, coupons, etc.) you are welcome to place them on the side table.
Snow Policy
Our meeting schedule follows the Annville-Cleona School District's closings and delays. If the district has a delayed opening or is closed we will NOT meet that Wednesday.
Sick Child Policy
If your child appears to be sick, fever, runny nose, nausea/vomiting, etc. please stay home with them so as to not pass germs onto other kiddos and/or mamas. If your child has a fever, they must be fever free for 24hrs before they can return to Moms & Tots.
